Kigan Marie Mills, age 37, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 1:11 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born November 18, 1986, in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Anthony Lee “Tony” and Donanna (England) Smith.

Kigan was a 2006 graduate of Greenfield High School in Greenfield, Missouri. She worked as a line operator for Schreiber Foods, in Mt. Vernon and was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon.

On May 28, 2006, she married Dwayne Lee Mills, in Greenfield, Missouri.

Kigan is survived by her mother, Donanna Smith, of Springfield, Missouri; her father and stepmother, Tony and Linda Smith of Walnut Grove, Missouri; her husband, Dwayne, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; four children, Braiden, Chase and Hunter Mills and Bobby Vaughn, all of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; two sisters, Kimberly Hobbs and her husband, Abe, of Burbank, California and Georgia Wilson and her husband, Luke, of Macon, Missouri; one brother, Anthony Smith and his wife, Hazel, of Dunnegan, Missouri; maternal grandfather, Larry England and his wife, Nancy, of Pittsburgh, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Millie Spence, of Purdy, Missouri and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kigan was preceded in death by her brother, Dylan Smith; maternal grandmother, American Carter and her husband, John; paternal grandfather, Harland Smith and her uncle, Thomas Smith.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Mt. Vernon City Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossettMosherFuneralHome.com.
