(From Clark Funeral Home)Madonna Sue (Doni) Ferguson-Taylor, age 79, of Neosho, passed away on February 14, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
She was born to Frank and Hazel Harris on September 10, 1944, in Neosho, MO, and was a proud graduate of Stella High School.
Doni dedicated her career to serving others, working as a cafeteria manager at South School and later in the bookkeeping department at CBT for many years until her retirement. She was a devoted member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Neosho, where she served as a secretary for many years.
Doni found joy in creativity and crafting, delighting in activities like sewing, scrapbooking, and knitting. She was known for being a wonderful cook, always sharing her delicious creations with loved ones.
Doni was twice blessed in love, first marrying James Ferguson on June 5, 1962, at Sweetwater Baptist Church, he preceded her in death in 1986. She later found love again marrying her second husband, Mac Taylor on June 9, 2012, he also preceded her in death in 2021.
She is survived by her loving children, Renee Edwards and husband Craig of Crane, MO, and Kenneth Dale Ferguson and wife Stephanie of Neosho, MO, as well as her stepchildren, Heath Taylor and wife Vickie of Bentonville, AR, and Shawn Rankin and spouse Eric of Bentonville, AR.
Doni also leaves behind grandchildren Amanda (Ankur) Oliver, Chelsey (Travis) Steffen, Aliyah Edwards, Erin Ferguson, and Jamie Ferguson, great-grandchildren Mya Steffen, Caleb Steffen, and Atticus Oliver, along with five step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren and her little dog Jack. She is preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, and her brother, James Harris.
A funeral service to honor Doni's life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho, MO, with interment following at Macedonia Cemetery in Stella, MO. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 - 6:30 PM. Contributions made in memory of Doni can be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, 962 Burr Crossing Rd. Neosho, MO 64850
