Bob Sargent

Robert ‘Bob’ Thomas Sargent, age 83 of Springfield, Missouri, passed from this life on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Cox Hospital South following and extended illness. Bob was born on November 11, 1940 in Corry, PA to the late Lloyd and Eva (Thomas) Sargent.

Bob attended Corry schools and proudly graduated from Corry High School with the class of 1958. He later went on to attend Penn State University and Kensington University where he obtained his BA in Business. During that time, Bob married Char Sproveri in 1965 and to that union a son was added, Marc Sargent.

Bob is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda (Cox) Sargent, his son, Marc Sargent and wife, Laurie; grandchildren, Madison, Grant and Ava, all of Boise, ID; and a brother, Don Sargent of Corry, PA.

Bob believed and trusted in the Lord with all his heart and know that he is at home with his Savior today.

Family will receive friends at the mortuary on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. An entombment service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
