Brenda Jones, 67, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, in Carthage, Missouri. Brenda was born February 9, 1957, in Great Lakes, Illinois to Billy John Jones and Lydia Florence Hill. Brenda was a resident of Carthage for the past two years. 

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centralia, Missouri. Brenda had waitressed and enjoyed several different jobs throughout her lifetime while moving about the countryside. She truly was a “Free Spirit”. Brenda had a green thumb and really enjoyed gardening. She also loved animals.

Brenda is survived by her son, Robert Caldwell; two daughters, Melissa Thompson (James Rotty) of Carthage, Missouri and Lydia Middleton (Randall) of Everton, Arkansas; her baby dog, Fetch; her mother, Lydia Hill of Laddonia, Missouri; seven siblings, Debra Cooper, Billy Jones, Dorothy Ladner, Clifford Hinten, Jr., Gerri Barnes, Melinda Willis, and Wendell Revels.

Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Billy John Jones; and one brother, Harold Hinten.

As per Brenda’s wishes, she will be cremated and interred in the family plot in Laddonia, Missouri at a later date.
