Janet Norris

Janet Rupert Norris, age 88, of Marionville, Missouri, passed away at 12:50 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at her home. She was born September 26, 1937, in Lexington, Massachusetts, the daughter of George and Evellyne (Reilley) Rupert.

Janet was a 1955 graduate of Windham High School in Willimantic, Connecticut, and received her associates degree. She was a medical technologist at Cox North in Springfield, Missouri, for 21 years and at Mercy Hospital in Aurora for 20 years.

On December 24, 1956, she married Amos Doyle Norris in Ware, Massachusetts. He preceded her in death on July 18, 2012.

Janet is survived by two sons, Michael Norris of Marionville, Missouri and David Norris and his wife, Teri, of Battlefield, Missouri; six grandchildren, Brian Norris and his wife, Sarah, Brandon Norris, Zach Norris and Chelsea Wood all of Springfield, Missouri, Amber Terrill and her husband, Chris, of Republic, Missouri, Caleb Norris and his wife, Sarah, of Marionville, Missouri, and Marshall Davidson and his wife, Leah, of Republic, Missouri; three great-grandchildren with two on the way and several nieces and nephews.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, George, and Evellyne Rupert; her husband, Doyle Norris; her son, Jeff Norris; one sister, Alice Rupert and three brothers, Charles, Stuart, and Geoff Rupert.

A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Williams Funeral Home in Marionville, with a graveside service to follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery.
