Joyce Hughes

Joyce Ann Points-Hughes, 83, was born December 3, 1942. God gently took her hand and led her home on March 6, 2026.Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life centered around her family. She spent several years working at Miller Manufacturing and later worked for many years at Labarge Manufacturing. Joyce also attended Forest Park Baptist Church before relocating to Oklahoma for a period of time.

Joyce had a deep love for her family and treasured every moment spent with them. She especially enjoyed time with her sons, grandchildren, and extended family. Some of her happiest days were spent at the lake on the boat or driving around in her golf cart, enjoying the outdoors and the company of those she loved.

She is survived by her sons, Rodney Hughes and his wife Tifanni of Joplin, Missouri, and Samuel Seay of Oklahoma. She also leaves behind six siblings: Bob and Trudy Points of Foley, Alabama; Bennie and Reba Points of Miami, Oklahoma; Bill and Patty Points of Texarkana, Texas; Linda and Dan Lasalle of Grove, Oklahoma; Diana and Eric Oliphant of St. Louis, Missouri; and Jeffry and Sara Points of Grove, Oklahoma. Joyce is also survived by her cousin and lifetime best friend, Joan Huffman of Neosho, Missouri.

Joyce was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, and she leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Jim Hughes; her parents, Otis Points and Zulia Lasiter-Points; and her sister, Pam Petty, who were surely waiting at Heaven’s gates to welcome her home.

Joyce will be remembered for her love of family, her warm spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
