Charles Louie Ward passed away unexpectedly on May 4, 2026, in Seneca, Missouri.
He was born in Pensacola, Florida, to Milton Ward and Mary Alice Williams, and was one of thirteen children. Charles served his country as a United States Marine Corps veteran and worked as a skilled residential and commercial carpenter.
He married his wife, Sharon Ward, in Milton, Florida and she survives him.
Charles enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and canning, as well as crafting jewelry, bolos, and belt buckles. He also took pride in making deer and turkey calls. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and was involved with Horses Healing Hearts and Charlie 22 Outdoors.
He is survived by his son, Anthony Ward and wife Bridget of Amsterdam; his daughter Christina Renee Ward and husband Shannon Spoon of Pace, Florida, stepchildren Deborah Brown of Mims, Florida; Linda Hounshell and husband John of Melbourne, Florida; James Robert Melaven and wife Cheryl, of Holt, Florida; and Paul Gregory Melaven of Webb City, Missouri; as well as his siblings James Irwin Ward, Richard Ward, John Ward, Billy Ward, Margie Hayne, Voncille A’more, Carol Kimble, and Katrene Turner, sister in law Barbara Conley and husband Luke, brother in law Stephen Rose and brother in law Johnny Rose.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Raymond, Marvin, and Clayton.
