(From Clark Funeral Home)Elmer G. Holloway, 91, of Goodman, Missouri, passed away Sunday night, May 3, 2026. He was a man defined by his quiet strength, his immense talent, and a work ethic that was second to none.
Elmer was the hardest working man those who knew him had ever met. He spent over 40 years as a dedicated welder, lending his skill set to Rocketdyne, Teledyne, Sabreliner, and Premier Turbines. He spent his entire life doing for others, rarely asking for anything in return. He was a humble man who rarely spoke of his service, preferring to focus on the work in front of him and the family behind him.
Outside of work, Elmer was a man of many passions. He was most at home with a guitar in his hands, having played in several country music bands over the decades. He was an avid soccer fan and found great peace fishing on Grand Lake.
Elmer was born to Elmer G. and Ellen Holloway and grew up in the Anderson area. He was preceded in death by both parents, and his wife of nearly 60 years, Saundra Holloway. After a long time apart, he is finally back with the love of his life. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Gibson and June Woolsey, and grandson James Winkler.
He is survived by his siblings, Alvin Holloway, Keith Holloway, Rosemarie Bellamy, Shirley Almandinger, his children Vikki Holloway, Jim and wife Robyn Holloway, Steve and wife Reba Holloway, Matthew and wife Abbey Holloway and Leesa Holloway, grandchildren John (Marcella) Parks, Tami Parks, Joshua Holloway, Seth Holloway, Tiffany Holloway, Sabrina Epperson, Tonya Epperson, Christopher Putman, Kyle Putman, Alisha Winkler, Garrett Barker, Hampton Holloway and Ellie Holloway, along with a slew of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2026 from 6:00pm – 7:00pm at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00pm at Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery in Neosho, Missouri. Mark Buzzard will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Children’s Miracle Network, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many friends and neighbors in the community who looked out for and loved Elmer. Your kindness and support over the years meant the world to him and to us.
