Mary Miller

Mary Catherine Miller, 90, of Pierce City, Missouri, was called to her Heavenly home on Sunday, May 3, 2026, while at St. Luke’s Nursing in Carthage, Missouri. She was born in Pierce City, Missouri, on January 17, 1936, the daughter of the late Bernard and Mary (Heeter) Schembra. She was united in marriage on January 31, 1959, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City, Missouri, to William Edward Miller; he preceded her in death on March 18, 2018.

She was a homemaker, attended St. Mary’s School as a child, and was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City, Missouri. 








Mary is survived by two daughters, Beverly Miller of Joplin, Missouri, and Margie (Jason) McNelly of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Bethany (Tyler) Abramovitz, and Chloe (Ricky) Hernandez; one great-granddaughter, Catalina Hernandez; sister-in-law Carolyn Parrigon of Carthage, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Mary; her husband, William Edward Miller; her sister, Wilma (Alvin) Ceselski; and her brothers, Edward (Joan) Parrigon, James Parrigon, and Leo (Joyce) Parrigon. 








Rosary is being held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City, Missouri. Visitation will immediately follow the Rosary. Funeral Mass is being held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City, Missouri. Burial next to her husband William, will follow Mass at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Pierce City, Missouri.

Memorial donations for Mary can be made to Church Masses or St. Mary’s School.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
