(From Lakin Funeral Home)Harold Ephron Reynolds, age 88, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Lawrence County Manor in Mt Vernon, MO. He was born in Wentworth, MO on Monday, April 4, 1938; son of Cecil Earl and Katherine A. (German) Reynolds. Harold married Lucille Hatfield on June 12, 1957. They were married 56 years. They had four children: Marilyn Myers, Gary (Cheryl) Reynolds, Linda Kingrey, and Kenneth (Beth) Reynolds. Harold had nine grandkids, eighteen great-grandkids, and one great-great-grandkid.
Harold married Judy Sifferman on December 12, 2014, and she survives. He had one stepson, Derick (Whitney) Sifferman and six step-grandkids.
Harold worked at Juvenile Shoe Factory in Sarcoxie, Wells Aluminum and Hydro in Monett. He retired to care for his wife, Lucille, who was ill with Parkinson's. Harold quit school after finishing eighth grade to begin working to help his family. He worked hard all his life. He enjoyed raising cattle and had a small cattle business until he was unable to care for them due to bad health. His family was most important to him, especially all his grandkids. He enjoyed fishing, going on Ride to Life trail rides, and horseback riding with his sons. He loved caring for his farm. Harold attended Northside Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon as long as he was able. He will be missed by many.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Katherine Reynolds; his first wife, Lucille; two siblings, Everett and Cecilia; and a niece, Donna Stow.
Harold has been cremated at his request. A Memorial Service will be at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM with Pastor Wally Long officiating.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital in care of Lakin Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.
