Sharon Vickers, age 76 of Joplin, Missouri passed away Tuesday February 25, 2020 following a short illness.
She was born October 6, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri to Albert and Ila (Hacker) Conway.
Sharon worked in the food service department with the Joplin R VIII School District. She attended Harmony Heights Baptist Church.
She married Fred Vickers Jr on July 15, 1988 and he preceded her in death on November 16, 2012.
Sharon was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Stephanie “Megan” Ballard and two sisters, Hope Janes, and Diane Gardner.
She is survived by two daughters, Michelle “Shelly” Periman and husband Craig, Amanda LaBelle and husband Kip; two brothers, Albert Conway III, Eugene Conway; three sisters Linda Glumm, Ruth Nickel, Amalia “Molly” Herrell; nine grandchildren, Travis Hoke, Jared Kuhns, Jordan Kuhns, Brooklyn Cady, Hunter McClintock, Cydney Vickers, Kayden Vickers, Ian Whaley, Avery Whaley; two step grandchildren, Adam Periman and Ashley Hance; and two great grandchildren, Rowyn Cady, Blair Kuhns, as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Monday March 2, 2020 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary chapel with Pastor Charlie Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Hope Cemetery Webb City, Missouri. Visitation will be 2:00 -3:00 pm Sunday at the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory Joplin, Missouri.
