Mary Marcella Robertson, age 93, of Miller, Missouri, passed away at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020, at the Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. She was born November 21, 1926, in Winfield, Kansas, the daughter of Leslie and Grace (Widener) Ritchey.
On August 7, 1950, she married Carl Evert Robertson, in Lamar, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2007.
Marcella was a homemaker and a founding member of the Highland Chapel Church in Miller. Marcella loved growing a large vegetable garden and canning each year. She was part of the ladies missionary guild, and volunteered at Miller’s Christian Center. She spent her life serving and loving her family.
Marcella is survived by six sons, Monty Robertson and his wife, Denise, of Carthage, Missouri, Donald Robertson and his wife, Pamela, of Mt. Vernon, Les Tennis and his wife, Kathy, of Miller, Roy Robertson and his wife, Linda, of Vinita, Oklahoma, Mike Robertson and his wife, Janis, of Mt. Vernon and Steve Robertson of Miller; two daughters, Gloria Gee of St Petersburg, Florida and Mary Samuels and her husband, Tom, of Miller; two brothers, David Ritchey and his wife, Carolyn, of Miami, Oklahoma and Charles Ritchey of Lamar; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and countless nieces and nephews.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Grace Ritchey and husband Carl, Robertson.
A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at the Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home in Miller, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Ozark Prairie Cemetery.
