Gayl Navarro

Gayl Navarro, 66, passed away on May 2 after a brief illness.

Gayl was the owner of Ozark Nursery of Joplin and a certified Arborist. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and comedian. 

She was an avid world traveler and passionate about her community and making it beautiful. Gayl was extremely well-loved and adored by all she met touching every soul she encountered.

Gayl was involved in the Joplin Business Club and a member of the First Community Church of Joplin. She is survived by a daughter, Cheyenne; three grandchildren, Ryan, Mark, and Ashley; sister Peggy; and brother Richard. She is proceeded in death by her husband, mother, father, and brother.

A celebration of life will be held at First Community Church, Joplin, May 15, at 2:00 p.m. Per Gayl's request, please wear bright colors to contribute to the celebration and come with funny stories so we can smile through our tears.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joplin Humane Society or Wildcat Glades Nature Group.
