(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Rodger Alexander was born on March 19, 1986, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Jamie Lynn Brackett Alexander and Thomas Milton “Milt” Alexander. He departed this life on May 12, 2023 in Springfield, Missouri.
Rodger attended high school in Bristow, Oklahoma, graduating in 2004.
He served from 2009 to 2015 in the U.S. Army as part of the 10th Mountain Division and completed one tour of duty in Afghanistan.
Rodger received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Missouri State University in 2018 and his master’s degree in Engineering Technology from Pittsburg State University in 2022.
Rodger was the Maintenance Manager for AFB International in Aurora, Missouri at the time of his death.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tommy and Sue Alexander of Mannford, Oklahoma and Terry Brackett of Joplin, Missouri. He is survived by his grandfather, Alan Brackett of Joplin, his wife, Tamara, and son, Dominic, of the home.
Also, his father, Thomas Milton Alexander and step mother, Rose Honeycutt Alexander of Bristow, Oklahoma, and his mother, Jamie Lynn Alexander of Joplin, Missouri, and sisters Taylor Pope and husband Austin Pope of Hillsboro, Texas, and Kristin Jurica and husband Jeff Jurica of Schulenburg, Texas as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Rodger was a person who loved life and loved his family. He will be sorely missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests and would appreciate donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of the mortuary.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
