(From Bath-Naylor Funeral Home)Dewayne Allen Monohon, age 69, of rural Pittsburg, Kansas passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at his home.
He was born July 9, 1953 in Ottumwa, IA the son of Eugene and Betty (Brown) Monohon.
On June 1, 1971 he was united in marriage to Sue Waskovsky; she survives of the home.
Dewayne was a Meat Packer and Farmer most of his career. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved all of his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Sue Monohon of the home, one son David (April) Monohon of Pittsburg, two daughters Shelly Huffine (Eric) of Liberal, and Tina (Jason) Westervelt of Cherokee, Grandsons Dakota Westervelt, Carter Westervelt, Kyle(Kendra) Huffine, Brad Huffine, Dean Monohon, and one granddaughter Kelsie(Logan) Elder, and two great-granddaughters, Addy Huffine and Hadlie Elder.
He was preceded in death by parents, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be 10am, Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Rev. Koby Clarkson officiating. Family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com.
Memorials may be made payable to Sue Monohon to help with final expenses. Services are under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home of Pittsburg.
