Marian May Hemann of Miami, OK passed from this life Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. She was 95.

Marian was born September 10, 1927 in Joplin, MO to Berth Ralph and Viva Vesta (Baker) Russell. She had lived in Miami since 1970 moving from Joplin, MO. She graduated from Joplin High School class of 1945. 

She was office manager and bookkeeper for Jones Brothers Construction in Joplin, MO for 42 years. She also worked as a tax preparer for Jackson-Hewitt in Joplin, MO.








Marian was preceded in death by her husband Orville Hemann on February 5, 2001, her step-son, Mike Hemann, her parents, 3 brothers, Kenneth Russell, David C. Russell and Bruce Alan Russell and 3 sisters, Betty Yarbough, Joan Chylek and Janis Day.

Survivors include 1 grandson that she raised, Shane Hemann and wife Savannah of Miami, OK, 4 great- grandchildren, Anthony Hemann and wife Koryn, Hailey Hemann, Katie McInturff and Kylie McInturff and 1 great great-grandson, Jaxton Hemann.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2023 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Pastor Danny Hughes will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. 

Shane Hemann, Anthony Hemann, Garret Smith, Grant Smith, Nash Smith and Geof Smith will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening at funeral home chapel.
