(From Clark Funeral Home)Theodore Joseph Litteken, 71, of Neosho, MO passed away on May 16, 2023. Ted was born in Keokuk, IA on December 25, 1951, to John G. Litteken and Loretta C. (Twenter) Litteken
Ted attended SS Peter and Paul Catholic Schools in Boonville, Missouri and graduated from Boonville Public High School where he played basketball, football, and baseball.
Ted graduated from Central Missouri State; worked for Tomlison Interests and Damson Oil in Houston, TX as well as Southwest Support Services and New Visions in Neosho, MO until he retired. Ted also spent time working with the Special Olympics.
Always ready for an experience, Ted lived life to the fullest whether traveling across the continent, taking in a sporting event with friends and family, or enjoying a board game and adventures with his grandsons.
Surviving are his sons: Samuel (Cassandra) Litteken of Joplin, MO, Mitchell Litteken of Joplin, MO; and grandchildren: Sawyer, Archer, and Camden Litteken. Also surviving are his siblings: Tim (Gay) Litteken of Columbia, MO and Juliana Litteken of Lee’s Summit, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dan Litteken.
A casual Celebration of Life Gathering is being planned for Saturday, June 3rd at 2:00 PM at One Church, located at 2802 New Hampshire Ave in Joplin, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to your local Ronald McDonald House.
