(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Belva “Sally” Metcalf, 78, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away Wednesday May 24, 2023, in Joplin, Missouri. Sally was born September 26, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri to Ivan Wright and Willa Faye Westmoreland. Sally was a lifetime resident of Carthage. She was an administrative assistant at Boatman Bank.
Sally was a member of the American Business Women’s Association and a Carthage Soroptimist member. She was awarded “Woman of the Year” four times.
Sally was a member of Mt. Moriah Methodist Church and also attended Grand Avenue Church of God.
Sally was united in marriage to Bradley Allen Metcalf September 29, 1962, in Carthage, Missouri; he preceded her in death December 24, 2021.

Sally is survived by her son, Timothy Metcalf (Ursula) of Joplin, Missouri; her daughter, Jeanna Faye McGatha (Dave) of Jasper, Missouri; three grandchildren, Parker Metcalf, Amanda Nash (Jonathan), and Kyle McGatha (Sasha); and five great grandchildren, Kinley, Maclin, Lilliann, Maylee, and Maddie.
Sally is preceded in death by her husband, Bradley Metcalf; her parents, Ivan and Willa Faye Wright; and her brother Bill Wright.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Burial will be at Dudenville Cemetery, southeast of Lamar, Missouri.
