(From Midland Cremation Society)Jay Dee Chew, age 70 of Joplin, Missouri passed away Tuesday May 23,2023 at Sarcoxie Nursing Home. After a long battle with COPD, Jay went home to be with his Lord and Savior.
Jay loved fishing and doing woodworking, building all kinds of things and was very good at it. He had worked at La Barge Electronics, Midcom Cables and Able Manufacturing over the years.
Jay was the son of Pearl and Jack Chew; both are now in Heaven.
He leaves behind his two sons that he dearly loved, Cole Chew and Shane Chew. Granddaughter Alivia Chew, Grandson Jackson Chew. Two sisters Ann Smith, Connie Box, Brother-in-law David Box. All of Joplin, Missouri. Lots of Nieces and Nephews.
Sister Nancy Kennedy and Brother Jackie Bob Chew were waiting for him in Heaven.
A private family celebration of life will be held in the future for Jay.
