(From Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home)Barbara M. Miller, 86, Wyandotte, OK, passed into eternal rest May 12, 2023 at the Joplin Health and Rehab after a short illness.
Barbara Melvalene Crain was born in Seneca, MO the daughter of Melvin and Clara (Row) Crain. She was a lifelong area resident and enjoyed animals including humming birds and especially dogs. Barbara loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma.
Barbara formerly worked as a Bank Teller for the 1st National Bank in Miami, OK. She was also a seamstress owning Barbara's Draperies. She attended the Tennessee Prairie Friends Church in Galena, KS.
Barbara was preceded in death by her Father and Mother Melvin and Clara Crain; one son, Jim Sherwood; siblings, Deloris Miller, Tommy Crain, Judy Vanatta, Paul Carrey and Richard Crain.
Surviors include her husband George Miller, Wyandotte; John Sherwood, Joplin, MO; Don Sherwood, Wyandotte, OK, Ron Sherwood, Joplin, MO and Tammye Harding, Maimi, OK; three brothers, Lloyd Crain, Greeley, CO, Butch Crain, Thalequah, OK and Monty Crain, Kansas City, MO; 19 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm, Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Chapel with Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery with David Sherwood, Drew Sherwood, Derek Sherwood, Shawn Sherwood, Blaine Anglin, and Marco Xie, serving as pallbearers.
