(From Brenner Mortuary)Jakob “Jake” Ray Brewer, 29, of Frontenac, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born June 30, 1993 at Muskogee, Oklahoma the son of Jeffrey S. and Trisha (Dittmar) Brewer. He attended school in Frontenac and graduated from Frontenac High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, played sports, including pitching for the baseball team.
Jake worked as a brick mason in construction.
Jake loved spending time at the ocean and playing with his dogs, but most of all, Jake loved his family and making them laugh. Jake was also very artistic and had a love for music.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Trisha and Dennis Hensley of Lenexa, KS; his father, Jeffrey Brewer of Harrah, OK; sisters, Kennedy Brewer of Lenexa, KS, Kristen Andrews of Checotah, OK and Elainey Stubbs of Lenexa, KS; brothers, Cole Brewer of Newalla, OK, Zak Hensley of Ft. Dodge, IA, Tyler Hensley of Kansas City, MO and Gunner Hensley of Lenexa, KS; his aunt and uncle, Stephanie and Douglas Strong of Frontenac, KS and cousins, Caylee Standlee and Lindsey Strong; and his paternal grandmother, Debbie Haywood.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Phyllis Dittmar and William R. Dittmar, and paternal grandparents, Otis and Janice Brewer.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday (May 26) at the Brenner Mortuary. A private family graveside will be held at the Osborne Memorial Cemetery in Joplin with Pastor Donnie Talent officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Brenner Mortuary.
