(From Parker Mortuary)Nancy Lee Morrow, age 87, of Joplin, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at her daughter’s home, surrounded by family.
Nancy, daughter of the late James W. and Virginia E. (Hardin) Stone, was born on May 28, 1935, in Joplin. She grew up and attended school in Joplin Schools and was a graduate of Duenweg High School Class of 1955.
Soon after, she was united in marriage to Bill Clark on July 16, 1955, in Miami, OK. To this union one child was born, Nancy “Leighann” Clark.
Together, she and Bill owned and operated Clark’s Floor Maintenance for over 15 years until she and Bill parted ways.
On April 24, 1982, Nancy married Joel Morrow. He preceded her in death in October 1990.
Nancy was employed with Bagcraft in Joplin until her retirement. She enjoyed staying busy going to rummage sales, flea markets, and working in her garden. She then went to work part time as a door greeter at the 7th Street Walmart in Joplin and enjoyed her time helping others at the Joplin Association for the Blind.
Survivors include her daughter, Leighann Long, and her husband, Rodney, of Joplin; one granddaughter, Rachel Sill, of Webb City; great grandchildren, Shelby Sill, Jackson Sill, and Savannah Sill; and several special nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Nancy was preceded in death by her siblings, James W. Stone II, Sally Stone, and Roy Stone.
