(From Ferry Funeral Home)Herman Martin Jank, 87, Nevada, MO passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Pittsburg Care and Rehabilitation Center in Pittsburg, KS. Herman was born February 14, 1936 in Kansas City, MO to Arthur W. and Berta D. (Zeeb) Jank.
Herman was raised in Kansas City. Following high school, he attended Concordia Lutheran Seminary in St. Louis obtaining a Bachelor of Divinity in 1960. He then attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and received a Master’s Degree in Philosophy in 1965. Herman was a member of Mensa International.
He served as a parish minister at Faith Lutheran Church in Abilene, KS, taught Philosophy at Crowder College in Nevada, MO and Neosho, MO, and was the author of Know Then Thyself.
Herman is survived by a sister, Anne Park of Holly Springs, NC; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
