(From Konantz Warden Funeral Home)Patsy Lou Thomas went to be with Jesus her Savior on May 5, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Pat was born in Liberal, Missouri, on November 6, 1942, to Charles and Alice Overstreet.
Pat graduated from Liberal High School and attended business classes at Draughon Business College in Springfield. She enjoyed working as a PBX operator in Lamar, where she was introduced to Roy Thomas by four older coworkers. They married on July 8, 1962, in Liberal. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Pat is survived by her husband of 60 years, Roy; a sister, Linda (Al) Kimmle; two children, Dee Ann (Doug) Miller, and Michael (Tara) Thomas; five grandchildren, Katie (Aaron) Stafford, Ethan (Addie) Thomas, Grant Miller, Karly Thomas, and Macy Thomas; along with several relatives, special friends, and neighbors. Pat was preceded in death by her parents.
Pat loved her church family at Fairview Christian Church in Carthage. She enjoyed spending time with family, attending her grandchildren’s activities, raising all kinds of flowers, shopping with friends, sending encouraging cards, and giving thoughtful gifts.
Pat stayed in touch with childhood friends and made new friends throughout her life. She was a lovely person inside and out. Her love, laughter, and encouragement will be greatly missed.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13th at the Carthage Nazarene Church, 2000 Grand Avenue, Carthage, Missouri. Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:00 p.m., and interment will be in the Liberal City Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Pat’s memory to Fairview Christian Church or to Good News Productions, International (GNPI) in care of the funeral home.
