(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Charles Thomas "Tom" Conklin of Miami, OK passed from this life Friday, May 5, 2023 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. He was 88.
Tom was born August 9, 1934 in Quinton, OK to Paul and Edna Josephine (Poor) Conklin. He graduated from Commerce High School in Commerce, OK. He had lived in the Miami and Commerce area most of his life. He served in the United States Navy during Korea and had worked for B.F. Goodrich in Miami as a time study engineer.
Tom is survived by his wife, Lynn Conklin of the home, 3 sons, Thomas Dean Conklin and his wife Lisa of Edmond, OK, Charles Martin Conklin and his wife Terri of Joplin, MO and Daniel Eugene Conklin of Webb City, MO, 2 stepsons, William Ray Taber of Tulsa, OK and Troy Ray Taber and his wife Mitsy of Broken Arrow, OK, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and his siblings Matthew and Paula.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, OK. Private inurnment will be in Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens in Miami, OK.
