(From Daniel Funeral Home)Dorothy Alice Findley, age 91, of Tulsa, Oklahoma (formerly of Lamar, Missouri) passed away February 1, 2024, at Saint Simeon's Senior Community.
Dorothy was born February 19, 1932 in Scott City, Kansas (Logan County) to Leslie Andrew Harper and Nora Alice (Russell) Harper. On September 19, 1950, Dorothy married Carl Allen Findley in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Dorothy was a homemaker and a minister's wife, serving with her husband Allen for 35 years until his passing in 2007.
Survivors include three sons, Dennis (Jane) Findley of Marionville, Missouri, Phillip (Donna) Findley of Odessa, Missouri and Andrew Findley of Powell, Wyoming; one daughter, Martha (Mike) Rickman of Sperry, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Winnie) Findley, Megan (Jimmy) Gordon, Lauren (Michael) Findley, Christopher (Yuri) Findley, Heather (Tyler) Findley, Kayla Findley and Karrigan Findley; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn (Gail) Howard of Spring Hill, Kansas and Margaret McDonald of Lamar, MO; one brother-in-law, Howard Smith; and one sister-in-law, Darlene Harper of Lamar, MO. Dorothy is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one granddaughter, Chelsea Rickman; one brother, Richard Harper; one sister, Erma Smith; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Findley; and one brother-in-law, Robert McDonald.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 9, 2024 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow at Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon, Missouri.
