(From Airsman-Hires Funeral Home)Carolyn D. Steinbach, age 88 of Carrollton passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Jerseyville Manor. She was born December 1, 1936, in Quincy, the daughter of Norman and Caroline Hall Williams. She married Rev. Richard P. Steinbach June 6, 1954, in Quincy and he preceded her in death August 23, 2002.
She is survived by two daughters: Sherri (Joe) Montanez of Carrollton, Tina (Brad) Corbin of High Ridge, MO, and three sons: Timothy (Dawn) Steinbach of Phillipsburg, MO, Phillip (Deborah) Steinbach of Carthage, MO, David (Cherish) Steinbach of Lomita, CA, a daughter-in-law, Patricia Steinbach of Glen Carbon, 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and a niece, Pamela (Roy) Harness of Quincy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Daniel Steinbach, and a brother, Norman D. Williams Jr.
She started working at Motorola and then became a pastor's wife and homemaker. Carolyn also worked at the Carrollton Grade School as an aide. Later, she was a manager for the House of Fabrics in California. She was a member of Illinois Home Extension for many years. She enjoyed sewing and reading. She was a member of LifePoint Church in Carrollton.
A celebration of life service will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2025, at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Life Point Church or Alzheimer's Association. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
