(From Clark Funeral Home)Jimmie Eugene "Pug" White, 88, of Miami, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, in Miami, Oklahoma. He was born on July 28, 1936, in Granby, Missouri to Paul and Lura (McDaniel) White, and dedicated his life to serving his family and community.
Jimmie proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, instilling in him a strong sense of duty and resilience. After his service, he went to work for Vickers in Joplin for 22 years. After his employment , he then worked for 24 years making a difference as the head custodian and bus driver for East Newton High School, where he was well-loved by students and staff alike.
He was a devoted family man, survived by his daughter Kelly Shepherd (Darren), stepson Harold Cramer (Christina), his brother Terry White, and his cherished grandchildren: Courtney Tosh (Ben), Slade Dietrich (Kari), Mikhayla Cramer, and Lakin Cramer. Jimmie also had the joy of being a great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren.
Throughout his life, Jimmie had a deep passion for the outdoors, finding joy in hunting and fishing. He was happily married to Peggy for 22 years and later to Connie for 14 years, both of whom brought him immense happiness.
Jimmie's warmth, kindness, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
May he rest in peace, knowing that he has left an indelible mark on the hearts of his loved ones.
In addition to his parents and both of his spouses, Jimmie was preceded in death by his sisters Mary Means, Betty Sappington, Anna Mae Muse, Paulette Benard, brothers Jack White, and Bob White and one granddaughter, Tyler Nicole Dietrich.
Graveside Services will be held at Granby Memorial Cemetery and will be announced at a later date.
