(From Parker Mortuary)Dana G. Harless, age 69 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home and on her own terms on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 following an extended illness.
Dana was born on June 13, 1955 in Los Angelas, California to the late Charles Harless and Nancy Watson-Pfiefer. Her family moved around for several years but she eventually graduated from Memorial High School in Joplin in 1973. Many of her friends came to know and love her while working for Eagle Pitcher Manufacturing for over 20 years before retiring due to health. She was an avid softball and bowling player and had a huge passion for animals, especially her “kids” Goofy, Baby Girl, Dozier and Cilie.
Other than her parents, Dana is preceded in death by the father who raised her, Wolfard Watson.
Dana is survived by two nephews and several friends.
Burial of ashes will take place at a later date at Osborne Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
