The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is saddened to announce that retired patrol K-9 Marmalade passed away last night.
Marmalade spent her retirement years with her handler and former JCSO Deputy Adam Black.
Adam said, “even after her retirement in 2017 she was ready to go to work every day. She hated me leaving the house without her and the sound of Velcro set her off until her final day. When she heard that sound, she knew she was going places... or going to nap in the car.”
