(From Parker Mortuary)Treva Jean Lemmons, age 89, Joplin, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 at a local nursing center.
Treva was born March 18, 1935 in Spurgeon, MO, daughter of the late John Edmond Lawson and Ione L. Lawson. She graduated from Neosho High School in 1953 and married Jack E. Lemmons on March 1, 1961 in Miami, OK. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved taking care of her family. She loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs, or playing a good game of dominoes. She will be greatly missed by many.
In addition to her parents, Treva was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Lemmons who passed away on June 7, 2021; three brothers, Ted Lawson, Russell Lawson, and Frances Lawson; and a sister, Wynonia Beatty.
She is survived by her children, Donna Walser (Kirby) of Joplin, Keith Lemmons (Gay) of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Tracy Lemmons Roberts (Jerry) of Monett, MO; grandchildren, Dawson Lemmons of Lee’s Summit, Amy Walser of Joplin, Megan Walser of Joplin, Lauren Folmer of Oklahoma City, OK, Michael Roberts (Aubrey) of Monett, MO, and Nick Roberts (Lexi) of Eureka, MO; great-grandchildren, Hunter Davis, Lily Roberts, and Harper Roberts; sister, Loretta Tatum of Carl Junction, MO; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Friday, February 28, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary with Pastor Kenny Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Elk’s Lodge #501 Christmas Basket care of Parker Mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
