Rose Bronson

Rose Marie Bronson, age 95, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away on February 18, 2025, at Good Shepherd Community Care in Lockwood, Missouri.

Born on June 9, 1929, in Omaha, Nebraska, Rose was the daughter of John Valenti and Lillian Isabell (Schuman) Valenti. On August 2, 1947, she married Oscar Leroy Bronson Jr. in Bentonville, Arkansas, and together they built a life centered on love, family, and hard work.







Rose had a strong work ethic, spending years at O’Sullivan Industries in Lamar before becoming a beloved Wal-Mart door greeter, where she brightened the days of countless shoppers with her warm smile. She retired in 2013, leaving behind many fond memories.

She is survived by her son, Oscar (Linda) Bronson of Lamar, Missouri; two daughters, Anna (Lee Roy) Vorhees of Lamar, Missouri, and Susan (Doug) Ball of Jasper, Missouri; as well as a loving legacy of 19 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sons, one daughter, and one great-granddaughter.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Lamar, with burial to follow at Lake Cemetery in Lamar, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.








In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Good Shepherd Community Care and may be made in care of Daniel Funeral Home.

Rose’s kindness, strength, and devotion to her family will be forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.
