(From Knell Mortuary)Roger Jay Bougher, 80, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025, in Carthage, Missouri. Born on July 19, 1944, in Frankfort, Indiana, the son of the late Raymond and Marian (Lewis) Bougher.
Roger grew up in Frankfort, where he graduated from Frankfort Pilgrim College High School with the class of 1962. He married Rebecca Daugherty on December 1, 1962. To this union three children were born, they later divorced.
He married Diane Fuller on April 23, 1983, in Chicago, Illinois. To his union two children were born, she preceded him in death on October 23, 2020. He went on to lead a distinguished career in sales, spending many successful years with Leggett and Platt. His dedication to his work was only matched by his commitment to his family and community. Roger moved to Carthage in 1998, where he eventually retired in 2011. A man of many interests and involvements, Roger was a proud Jr Achievement Sponsor and an active member of the WAI Association and attended Grace Episcopal Church in Carthage. His love for sports was evident to all, as he was an avid fan of the L.A. Dodgers and had a passion for golfing.
Roger's life was defined by kindness, thoughtfulness, and friendliness. These qualities were the cornerstone of his relationships with family and friends.

He will be remembered by his children, Sheri Stewart of Kokomo, Indiana, Kerry Davis (Jerry) of Asheville, North Carolina, Doug Bougher (Michelle) of Plymouth, Indiana, Andrew Bougher of Joplin, Missouri, and Elizabeth Bougher of Springfield, Missouri. His grandchildren, Zach Baker, Aidan Davis, Tate Davis, Avery Bougher, Grace Bougher, Jackson Bougher, and Karliah Baugher, will cherish the memories they shared with their grandfather. Roger is also survived by his brother, Gerald Bougher of Fort Myers, Florida.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Joe Bougher, sister, Janice Bougher, grandson, Hudson Davis, and son-in-law, Randy Stewart.
