Barbara Pulliam

Barbara Jean Pulliam, 89, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025, in Forsyth, Missouri. Barbara was born on July 22, 1936, in Carthage, Missouri to Jesse Revere and Ida Theoda (Cole) Carnes. She worked at the Carthage Schools as a cook before retiring. Barbara loved being a homemaker very much; cooking, baking, and taking care of Papa and her family. She enjoyed playing pool, shuffleboard, going bowling, and traveling to see other places. Barbara was the life of the party, loved having a good time, and was said to have a hollow leg in her day! 

Barbara was united in marriage to William Oscar Pulliam on March 11, 1972, in Hays, Kansas; he preceded her in death on March 30, 2014, in Carthage, Missouri. 








Barbara is survived by two sons, Steaven Ray Myers (Catherine) of Halltown, Missouri, and Homer LeRoy Myers, III (Linda) of Norman, Oklahoma; three daughters, Ginger Kay Beauchemin of Forsyth, Missouri, Helen Jean Walker of Webb City, Missouri, and Melissa Diane Broadwell (David) of Hinton, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Della (Brandon), Aaron (Samantha), Megan, Robin, Tyler (Judie), Laticha, Michael, David, Chevon, Robert (Tawni), Megan (Cameron), Chanda (Cameron), and Amanda (Paul); thirty-nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers, Johnny Carnes and Chester Carnes; and two sisters, Vivian Walker and Martha Carpenter. 

Barbara is preceded by her husband, William; one son, Randall Jay Myers; one son-in-law, Bradley Beauchemin; her parents, Jesse and Ida Carnes; five brothers, Harry, Ronnie, Freddie, Jesse Jr., and Larry Carnes; and three sisters, Helen Stark, Jackie Neese, and Mae Stirewalt. 








A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2026, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to service. Burial will be at Park Cemetery, Carthage, Missouri.
