Russ Fees

(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)

Russell Eugene “Russ” Fees, of Dadeville, MO, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 12:14 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the age of 64.

He was born on October 6, 1961 in Greenfield, IN to Theodore Eugene and Patricia Elaine (McCann) Fees. Russ graduated from Miller High School in Miller, MO in 1979. He was united in marriage to Gwen Ellen Means on March 18, 2000 in Dadeville, MO. Russ worked for over 30 years for the United States Postal Service.

He was saved as a young child at Baptist Hill Assembly Camp. Russ was a member of the Dadeville Baptist Church for over 25 years, where he served as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He served on the board of the Baptist Hill Assembly. Russ also served on the Dadeville School Board for 15 years.

He was an avid golfer and loved to fish. Russ enjoyed gospel music and Grit TV, especially John Wayne movies. Most important, he wanted all his family and friends to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Russ was a loving and faithful husband to Gwen, and loving father to his four children and their families. He adored his church family, the Dadeville School, and the Dadeville community.

His favorite saying was, “God first, others second, and Me last.” A lesson from Russ we would like you to learn would be to be kind, slow down and listen, and speak nicely.

Preceding him in death was his father, Theodore Fees.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen Fees of the home; four children, Jenny Kelly and husband Brandon of Walnut Grove, MO, Dustin Angel and wife Chelsie of Independence, KS, Dakota Fees-Webb and wife Taylor of Bolivar, MO, and Colten Fees-Gresham and wife Emily of Augusta, GA; his mother, Patricia Fees; nine grandchildren, Avery, Macy, and Vivienne Kelly, Bonglee Oxford, Jessica Westerfield, Braylon and Breckon Angel, and Adeline and Everett Fees-Webb; one great-grandchild, Eden Angel; two sisters, Cindy Gulick and husband Dale, and Teresa Hill and husband Tim; one brother, Doug Fees and wife Kris; mother-in-law, Mary Garwood; father-in-law, Ben Means and wife Leslie; brother-in-law, Blaine Means and wife Karen; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Dadeville Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Dadeville Baptist Church.
