Loretta Page

(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)

Loretta Lavon Page, a beacon of love and faith, left this world for her heavenly home on December 18, 2025, at the age of 89.

Born on February 20, 1936, in Carthage, Missouri to the union of the late Archie and Lola (Funk) Michael.

Loretta's life was a testament to the power of enduring love. She was the beloved wife of Glenn, her husband of sixty-nine years, whom she married on February 19, 1956. Their union was a journey of mutual support and admiration, creating a family legacy that thrived through their children, Ann Sooter and her husband Greg of Carthage, Missouri, and Carrol Page of Herford, Arizona. Loretta was a guiding star to her grandchildren, Jeremy Page, Joshua Sooter and Matt Sooter, and she beamed with pride for her great-grandchildren, Jackson Sooter, Coleton Sooter and Warren Page. Her family was her joy, and she nurtured each relationship with the same dedication and warmth she bestowed upon everyone she met.

Although preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Lawrence Michael, A.W. Michael, Boyd Michael, Harold Michael, Virginia Howard, and Charles Michael, as well as her treasured great-granddaughter Adalynne Sooter.

Loretta's days were filled with the kind of purposeful activity that touches lives and builds community. A devoted homemaker, she relished the simple pleasures of working on the family farm, cooking delicious meals, and creating a home filled with music and laughter. Her talents at the piano and her melodious voice were not only the heartbeat of family gatherings but also brought joy to many as she traveled to area churches conducting Bible Schools.

A faithful member of the Fairview Christian Church, Loretta's commitment to her faith was unwavering. She found joy in working in the nursery, where she could share her love with the littlest members of the congregation. Her service extended beyond the church walls as she engaged in the Rebekah Lodge, with her leadership as Grand Matron.

Funeral services for Loretta are 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 26, 2025, at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie. Burial will follow at Fasken Cemetery.
