(From Parker Mortuary)Pamela Nadine Spaulding, aged 82, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on February 4, 1943, in Sioux City, Iowa, to the late Lowell and Nadine Champlin.
She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Centralia High School in Centralia, Washington in 1961. After High School her career started as a Nurse Aide and Medical Assistant. She married the love of her life, Vernon Spaulding on March 5, 1964 in South Dakota. They had 61 wonderful years together before his passing in August of 2025.
She enjoyed reading, cooking, watching football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs and the Nebraska Corn Huskers. She was a lifetime member of Emmanual Baptist Church in Webb City, MO. She loved butterflies and purple irises. Above all, Pamela's heart belonged to her grandchildren, whom she adored with every fiber of her being.
Pam is survived by her daughter, Christine Aase (Kirt); siblings, David Champlin (Jan), Dennis Champlin (Karla), Douglas Champlin, Ron Champlin (Sandy), Bonnie Shively (George), and Beverly Neal; grandchildren, Brittany Seifert (Kalvin) and Brandon Aase (Rachel Cox); great-grandchildren, Jarvis Seifert, Tony Seifert, LillyAnn Seifert, Laylah Aase, and Jaydn Cox.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vernon Spaulding; and daughter Rebecca Spauling.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO.
