(From Peterson Funeral Chapel)Dorothea "Dottie" E. Shanks, 89, of Aurora passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was born January 31, 1936 in Harrisburg, PA., the daughter of Michael and Bertha (Stutts) Sieber.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise Cox of Aurora, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dane Espasandin; one daughter, Dawn Shanks; five brothers, Jim, Dave, Mick, John and Sam Sieber; and two sisters, Sue Gregorits and Barbara Splan.
No services are planned.
Arrangements are under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel.
