Marvin Lynn Mitchell, age 72, of Goodman, Missouri, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Freeman Hospital in Neosho, Missouri. He entered this life on September 8, 1953, in Noel, Missouri, one of twelve children born to the late Elmer and Flossie (Brown) Mitchell.
Marvin was a lifelong area resident and a gifted auto mechanic. He was known for his ability to fix anything that came his way. His hands were skilled, and his talent was unmatched. He was an avid outdoorsman who found peace and excitement in hunting and fishing. His love for racing cars was more than a hobby; it was a passion that fueled his competitive spirit and brought him joy. At home, his faithful dog, Toke, was a constant companion, and their bond was a source of comfort and happiness.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Mitchell of the home; six children, Tandy Hale and husband, Kyle, Shannon Mitchell, Melody Green, Daniel Williams, Tabitha Mitchell and Krystal Hicks; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Tom Mitchell and wife, Rhonda; four sisters, Barbara Pridemore, Marilyn Ehrisman, JoAnna Barnhart and Sheryl Morris; as well as a host of other family and friends. His parents; six brothers; and two sisters, preceded him in death.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
