Marjorie Alice Hill, affectionately known as Marge to her friends and family, passed away on December 18, 2025, in Joplin, Missouri. Born on June 3, 1930, in Red Field, Kansas, Marge's life was a testament to her loving nature and selflessness.

Marge's journey began as the cherished daughter of her late parents, and she grew up to share an enduring love story with her late husband, Wayne E. Hill. Together, they built a family that included their daughters Connie White and her husband Nick of Rogers, AR, and Jacky Glines and her husband Stan of Joplin, MO. Marge's legacy continued to flourish with her four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

A graduate of high school who furthered her education with college studies, Marge was a lifelong learner whose curiosity and wit brightened the lives of those around her. Her career was marked by her devotion to community service, particularly through her work at Crosslines Ministries, where she not only served for many years but also led as President of the board. Marge's commitment to helping others was also evident in her role as a Brownie and Girl Scout troop leader, where she guided young girls with kindness and wisdom.

Marge's contributions to her community extended beyond her professional work. She was a familiar face at Joplin Senior High School, where she never missed a basketball or football game, driving her children and their friends to school and cheering from the stands. Her dedication to her family and community members was unwavering, and she became a friend to many, extending her warmth and hospitality to neighbors and friends alike.

An expert seamstress, Marge created beautiful prom and wedding dresses for her daughters, showcasing her talent and love in every stitch. She and Wayne were also active members of the Elks Lodge, they also enjoyed taking ballroom dancing lessons together, gliding across the dance floor with the same grace and harmony that characterized their marriage.

For over 57 years, Marge was a devoted member of Byers Avenue United Methodist Church, where she found spiritual fulfillment and fellowship. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring her service.

Marge's memory will be cherished for her unwavering love and the countless lives she touched. Her presence was a gift to all who knew her, and her legacy of kindness, generosity, and community spirit will continue to resonate for generations to come. She will be deeply missed not only by her loving family and friends but those who also remember her for the years of pulling up in her bright red Ford Mustang delivering countless phone books to her neighbors throughout the community.
