(From Clark Funeral Home)Madalynne Rose Buford, born September 11, 1938, passed away in Joplin, MO, on December 20, 2025. She will be buried in the Independent Order Of Odd Fellows Cemetery, Neosho, MO.
Madalynne was born in Elizabethton, TN, to Albert Carden and Gladys F. Davis.
Madalynne built a successful career as a commercial real estate agent specializing in land transactions in Hesperia, CA. She was a Christian and her faith played an important part of her life.
After retirement, she began using her nickname, Maddie, and started a new career finding and selling antiques through various vendors. A dog lover, she treasured the companionship of her four beloved Shih Tzu dogs.
Maddie is survived by her son, Daniel Vernoy of Woodland Hills, CA and her daughter, Cindy Paro of Roswell, NM. She also leaves behind six grandchildren-Christian, Nicholas, Michael A., Patrick, and Jennifer & Michael-plus one great grandchild, Kaitlyn.
She is further survived by her sister, Sharron and brother-in-law Paul Pankhurst of Fairhope, AL, as well as three nephews and one niece. Maddie was preceded in death by her son, David Vernoy.
