Marcella Budd

Marcella Mae (Moore) Budd, age 79, of Joplin, entered into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

Marcella was born on October 21, 1946 in Spring City, MO to Ernest and Susie Moore. She was a proud graduate of Seneca High School. After graduation, she embraced the role of a housewife with grace and dedication. Marcella turned the art of homemaking into a labor of love, creating a warm and inviting home. She shared 30 wonderful years with her husband JC Budd. She had a passion for gardening that could be seen in the vibrant blooms that filled her yard. She enjoyed painting and drawing in her free time, as well as shopping. Family was the center of her life, especially her grandchildren. Marcella will be remembered as the embodiment of love and strength.

In addition to her parents, Marcella was preceded in death by her two brothers, Ernie Moore and Lelard Moore.

Marcella is survived by her two children, Kimberly Friend and Kevin Hale; six grandchildren, Robyn Ward and husband, Cody, Bo Budd and wife, Araceli, Megan Howerton and husband, Cody, Justin Hale and wife, Rhonda, Austin Hale and Jack Hale; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Vivian Hight and husband, Jimmy, and Evelyn Fuchs and husband, Albert.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with pastor Hank Deslatte officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the special care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
