Dana Davis

(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)

Dana Lynn (Graves) Davis, 64, of Webb City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply.

Dana was born June 4, 1961, in Joplin, Missouri to Jim and Kay Graves. She spent her childhood in Carl Junction in a lively blended home with ten siblings, raised by her loving parents Bob and Kay Cargile. Growing up surrounded by family shaped so much of who Dana became. She shared a special bond with her many cousins, and those relationships filled her childhood with laughter, adventure, and memories that stayed with her throughout her life.

Dana first met Bill while working together at the grocery store, and after ten years of dating, Dana married the love of her life and favorite fishing partner, Bill Davis, on June 2, 1990. Together they shared more than 45 years of love, laughter, and adventure. Whether it was a day on the golf course, time spent at the lake, or simply relaxing somewhere with a cold beer, the two were rarely far from each other and enjoyed life side by side.

Dana graduated from barber school in 1985 with her cousin, Sherry Heath, before joining the family barbershop, The Lion’s Den, where she worked alongside her mother and sisters, Donna and Delisa. She spent nearly forty years behind the chair, caring for generations of families in the community. People often came in for a trim but stayed for the conversations and the feeling of sitting with an old friend. Dana also cared deeply about the craft of barbering and took pride in helping train the next generation, making sure anyone who worked in the shop knew how to give a proper men’s haircut.

Dana lived for her family and cherished time spent with her siblings and cousins. She especially loved being Aunt Dana to her many nieces and nephews. You could often find her driving around town in one of the coolest cars, a Sonic cup in hand and the brightest pair of Nike sneakers on her feet. She loved a run to town for ice cream and would often pile a few nieces and nephews in the car to tag along.

Dana enjoyed long car rides, days at the lake soaking up the sun, and being social with the people she loved, especially Thursday nights at Frank’s and Monday brunch with the girls. It was not unusual for Dana to get a little turned around on the way home from brunch and end up at the nearest casino instead. She had a bit of a wild streak and her quick wit kept everyone on their toes. Dana will be remembered for her sass, her big smile, and her unmistakable laugh. She had a way about her that made you feel like if you were hanging out with her, you were probably up to no good, and that was exactly what made time with her so memorable.

Her chair at the shop and the captain’s seat of the boat will always be saved for her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

The family would also like to extend their deepest gratitude to Laura Williams, Theresia Danner, and Shari Proctor for the love, support, and time they so generously gave to Dana this past year. Their willingness to walk alongside Dana and her family during this time meant more than words can express.

Dana was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Kay Cargile, and her siblings R.A. Cargile, David Cargile, Linda Pace, Jody Baldridge, and Cathy Guthrie.

Dana is survived by her loving husband, Bill Davis; her siblings Donna Kent (Tom), Delisa Walker, Deborah Graves (Randy), David Graves (Tiffany), and Danny Graves; her sister-in-law Theresia Danner (Ralph); along with many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will continue to cherish her memory.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life on March 21 at 4:00 PM to share stories and remember Dana together. The celebration will take place at 1301 Elegant Road Webb City, MO, 64870.
