Joanna Oganesyan

Joanna Oganesyan, born on September 8, 1940, in Butterfield, MO, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026.

She was a woman of many talents and passions, leaving behind a legacy cherished by those who knew her. Joanna was a graduate from Monett High School in 1958, Burge Protestant Hospital School of Nursing in 1961, and St. John's Hospital School of Anesthesiology in 1970. She worked tirelessly at the Barry County Health Department, providing care and compassion to those in need. 






Besides her nursing career, Joanna was also a skilled jewelry manufacturer and a successful self-employed individual. Known for her green thumb and love for animals, Joanna had a special bond with her beloved dog, Bridget. Her nurturing spirit extended to the plant life around her and the creatures she cared for deeply.

Joanna attended New Site Baptist and New Hope Fundamental Methodist Church, finding solace and community in her faith. She touched the lives of many through her kindness and generosity.








Joanna is survived by her loving children, daughters, Ashley Inglove and Laura Kuel (Bill), sons, Devin Edward (LaJuan) and Grant Oganesyan, granddaughters, Erin Kelley (Brandon) and Charlotte Thorpe and great-grandchildren Naomi and Avery. She is also survived by her sisters, Gail Eaton and Kathy Cook. Joanna was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Mildred Haddock.

A private burial has taken place at the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Monett, Missouri.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett, MO.
