Elizabeth Ferguson

Elizabeth Ann Ferguson, 88, Joplin, passed away on March 6, 2026, in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on January 11, 1938, in Chandler, Arizona to the late Noble and Lorene (Heatherly) Blakely.

In her professional life, Elizabeth worked as a truck driver for Tri-State Motor Transit. When she wasn’t on the road, she had a passion for refurbishing furniture. Her keen eye for detail and her creative touch transformed many worn pieces into beautiful treasures.








Elizabeth was also deeply involved in her community. She proudly served as Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge and also held a leadership position with the Moose Lodge in Grove, Oklahoma.

Traveling was another of Elizabeth's great joys. She relished the opportunity to explore new places and cultures. Her love for adventure took her on numerous cruises, where she could often be found on the dance floor, partaking in her favorite pastime, line dancing. Karaoke nights were a special delight for Elizabeth. Her voice, filled with warmth and character, could turn any evening into a memorable event.

She is survived by her children, Sharrita Graham and Tracy Ferguson; grandchildren, Travis, Jodi, Tyler (Amanda), Morgan (Mary), Shanece (Mark), Jordan (Rebecca), Maleigha (Dominic); 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Jeannie.








Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Benny Ferguson; son, Robert Campbell; and siblings, Veleta and Sharron.

A committal of ashes is planned for Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Osborne Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.
