(From Parker Mortuary)Paula Jean Coryell, 64, passed away on March 3, 2026 in Joplin, MO. She was born on September 20, 1961 to the late Jerry and Margie (Crow) Cones.
Paula dedicated many years of her life to the local sewing factory, where her skillful hands and creative mind brought both beauty and function to the textiles she crafted. After that, she was a devoted caregiver to her husband, Rick Coryell, whom she married in 1983.
She found joy in crocheting and various other crafting projects. Paula's leisure time was filled with the simple pleasures of watching movies and indulging in her favorite television shows, such as the timeless classic "I Love Lucy" and cooking shows. Music was another source of joy for Paula, with the melodies of Celine Dion and the classic tunes of Creedence Clearwater Revival often filling her home.
Paula is survived by her children, Rickie Coryell, Jr., Stephen Coryell; grandchildren, Makayla Robbins and Delilah Coryell; siblings, Mary Howard, Shannon Cones, and Nick Cones.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Rick Coryell; and daughter, Jennifer Coryell.
A Graveside Service is planned for Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park Cemetery in Joplin, MO.
Arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO.
