(From Simpson Funeral Home)Sharon Dawn Setser, a loving, smart, and creative soul, passed away on March 10, 2026, in Webb City, Missouri. Born on September 9, 1948, Sharon dedicated her 77 years to the community she loved, spending most of those years in Webb City. She was a pillar of support, wisdom, and love for her family and friends.
Sharon was a dedicated case supervisor for the MO Children's Division, Missouri, where she served diligently until her retirement in 2003. In her retirement, Sharon's creativity found expression through scrapbooking and genealogy, hobbies that allowed her to combine her love for history, family, and art. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing bridge, and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren, who she adored.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Setser, and her nephew, Gary Todd Setser. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Yakopec, and her husband Joseph, her grandchildren Jalen Ybarra, Sophia Sanchez, and Riley Yakopec, her siblings Gary Setser and his wife Fay, and Christie Setser and her partner Norm Bodenstein, her niece Laci Douglass and her husband Joe, and her great-nephew Jeffrey.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 10:00am CDT at the Simpson Funeral Home, Webb City, followed by a Life Celebration at 11:00am CDT at the same venue.
