(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Chris Alan Hunt, age 69, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on April 3, 2026.
Chris was born March 3, 1957, in Joplin, Missouri, to Jack and Deani Hunt. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, working for many years as an aeronautical engineer before retiring in 2014. His service and expertise reflected both his intelligence and dedication.
On August 8, 1975, he married Kathy Runyon in Corpus Christi, Texas. Together they shared a lifetime of love, family, and memories.
In his later years, Chris developed a passion for HAM radios. He devoted much of his time to testing and mentoring others, helping many enthusiasts across the country earn their HAM radio licenses—leaving a lasting impact on a community he cared deeply about.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Hunt; his son, Jason Hunt; his daughter, Andrea Hunt; his brother, Don Hunt; his sisters, Jackie Compton and Cheryl Nixon; five grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
