Forrest Noah

Forrest Conrad Noah “Papa” passed away on April 8, 2026. He was born on August 18, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas, to William F. Noah and Harriett A. Miller Noah. He attended Caney, Kansas schools from 1st grade through 12th grade. He then attended Independence, Kansas Junior College and graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Chemical Engineering.

On June 5, 1966, he married Rita Melander. He worked for Warren Petroleum, Gulf Oil, Chevron, BCCK Engineering, and Elk Horn.







Forrest is survived by his wife, Rita, of 59 years; his son, Jeffrey (Rhonda) Noah; and his daughter, Alishia (Randy) Kravig. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Payton (Kyle) Hoffman; grandsons Noah Kravig, Lorenzo Sanchez, Diego Sanchez, and Demetrio Sanchez; and four great-grandsons, Kamden and Greyson Hoffman, and Mathias and Sammuel Sanchez. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law, Andrea Pence and Terri (Wojtek) Dolski; his brother-in-law, Mike Melander; and numerous nieces and nephews: Brad, Sarah, Adam, Mikelynn, Kay, Gus, and Karlie.

Forrest was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Eric Curry; and his brother-in-law, Mike Pence.

Burial will be at Harrisonville Cemetery near Bolton, Kansas, on Saturday May 2, at 1:00 p.m. Following the burial, there will be a gathering at Wayside Christian Church in Wayside, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Forrest to Wayside Christian Church. Donations may be made through Simpson Funeral Home of Carl Junction, Missouri, which will forward them to the church.
