Shirley Lasiter

Shirley Ann (Killman Spain) Lasiter, 75 of Ritchey, MO, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Cox Hospital in Monett, MO, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 21, 1951. Her parents were Bill & Christina Spain of Monett. She grew up in Monett and graduated from Monett High School in May of 1970. She married Charles Ray Lasiter on May 9, 1970, and they shared almost 56 amazing years together.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, as well as a wonderful sister and friend to many. She loved gardening, crafts, being with family, and she was known for her beautiful homemade quilts. Shirley and her family attended Ritchey Baptist Church.








She is survived by her husband Charles Lasiter of the home. Her daughter Mischelle and husband Jack Campbell of Battle Creek MI; son Alex and wife Rachel Lassiter of Ozark, MO. Shirley was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. 

She is also survived by two sisters, Laura (Tim) Booth of Mt. Vernon, MO and Pennie Spain of Aurora, MO. Two brothers, Billy (Sheila) Spain and Danny (Brenda) Spain all of Aurora, MO. Shirley had a host of family and friends including one special friend, Brenda Kauffman of Republic, MO.








Preceding her in death was an infant son Charles Ray Lasiter, her parents Bill & Christina Spain of Monett, MO and one sister Rosemary Frazer, of Mt. Vernon, MO.

A celebration of life will be held at Ritchey Baptist church on April 14, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date at Antioch Cemetery in Cassville, MO.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, MO.
